For everyone who wasn’t following me back in Jan. and Feb. To get you up to speed.Right before the Blizzard I made a Fort for the kittens,by turning the lawn chairs on their side, around the table on my deck. Finally today,I went out on the deck while the 2 kittens were standing there waiting to be fed. Greedy ran under the deck, but the shy one only went to the edge of the deck. I put the chairs back under the table to give the kittens more shelter from the rain. I was really happy that the shy one didn’t run away.Greedy must have beat her up yesterday,as she has a chunk out of the bottom eye lid now. They wouldn’t let her eat tonite(I told you Glutton showed up too, right?),but suddenly they all turned around and started growling.I looked out into the yard and saw the Gray cat, from last nite. The one I thought was the kittens Mother. But tonite it was meowing. It didn’t come up on the deck but kept meowing a lot. That makes me wonder if one of these kittens could be in heat. Maybe it’s a Tom cat that wants a female? All 3 kittens stayed right by me,at the screen door and all 3 growled together at the strange cat. They may fight over food, but must know there is safety in numbers. The Gray cat finally, just jumped right over my 6 ft. tall fence. In the end all the kittens jumped up on the chairs I had turned upright for them and got to stay out of the rain. Then I called the little shy one and gave her food that she could eat in peace. No her eye lid doesn’t look too bad,and now I can tell it’s her. But I think that was a Tom Cat,don’t you?
